SHORT DESCRIPTION
Some folks say opposites attract, and I suppose that's how it was when Weber met Sunset. Weber is a Chicago-area company with a long tradition of forming steel into very durable barbecue grills. Sunset is a San Francisco-area company with a long tradition of forming words and photographs into informative and entertaining publications. Weber's roots are in the Midwest, and I guess that means we really appreciate a good, thick steak and meaty ribs from the heartland. Sunset's roots are in California, where fresh Pacific seafood and an almost infinite variety of vegetables abound. Now, even if opposites attract they must have something in common for a long-term relationship to develop. You see, at Weber we believe you ought to buy one of our products and be pleasantly surprised that it exceeds your expectations. Sunset thinks the same way. When they write a recipe, the amount of testing they do to make sure it'll come out just so is mind-boggling. About a year ago, Weber decided to produce a series of cookbooks to help backyard chefs have more fun with their grills. Sunset was considering a similar project. So, when we shared our mutual desire to write a series of simply great barbecue cookbooks, we decided we could make them even better if we formed a partnership. We believe that this terrific cookbook will help you have fun with your grill. Mike Kempeter Michael Kempster, Sr. Executive Vice President Weber-Stephen Products Co.
